Hi ionesco, Neither do I think we are in a religious war. It is just a ploy to scare the people by our administration so that we will be on a constant "war footing" for the benefit of the military-industrial complex.. Since we don't have the "cold war" anymore as an excuse for large military appropriations and expenditures, we needed to find a new "enemy" to keep the masses in line behind the belief of out-of-control military spending. For military spending in our society is "the perfect storm" for achieving huge profits for a FEW at the expense of MANY.. The easiest way to the epitome of PROFITEERING.. First of all, you make something that has no economic competition. You can charge what you want.. Second, you make something that can't be reused, can't be recycled, it blows up, it's gone. It has to be built again from scratch. Third, when it blows up it usually blows up something too. Or at least it is supposed to. So you can rebuild that too. Think Iraq.. Blow it up and rebuild it.. There it is.. What a freakin waste! And I am NOT even taking into account the human and environmental waste, the BIGGEST waste of them all.. It is a sad state of affairs when the masses can NOT see through that scam.. :( .. Maybe they can but don't care. And maybe some are whores to the system with a "job" in the "defense" establishment.. I don't know. But I wish the rest would just wake up.. m
