Hi ns,

IMO, XAU/HUI has already discounted POG @ $435, but that doesn't mean the gold stocks can't go lower if and when the POG actually drops to that level. Many reasonable quality juniors are seriously undervalued here and will continue to be available at fire sale prices until tax-loss selling abates. That is my area of interest and I am comfortable with my current metal shares allocation of 46%.

BTW, for those interested in the metals themselves, CEF is now selling at a discount to NAV.

HMY OPTION PLAY... food for thot... no coke pepsi...

Short Puts - long term to get premium
Long Calls - mid term or same term

like---

Short the JAN 10 2007 put at 2.40 - 2.50?
Long the JAN 10 2007 call at $2.50 ish
quite a spread on them so you'd have to place limits.

or

Short the Jan 06 15 2006 put at 5.40
Long the Jan 06 15 call at .60..
bigger bang and collect 5 points premium... worst case you buy at 10.

I am not entering this trade... just an idea for discussion.
I think HMY is bogged down with this buyout bs. Going to take a long time for it to work out. years?

<And it looks like a little bullish ED or declining wedge type of thing here.>

This is what I was referring to here. If you think this is an ED type of thing, you would not be selling here, but buying with both hands.
