The Muslims were the principal aggressors in our ongoing relations, always.

Of course.

Ask the Hindus and the Buddhists, the Christians and, especially, the Jews. Ask the Macedonians what they feel about what happened in 1915.

Ask the numberless slaves taken for centuries from Africa and the Caucasus. It was not until 1962 that slavery was abolished in Saudi Arabia, and in 1982 that it was abolished [sort of] in Mauritania. It is still ongoing in the Sudan.

Slavery of infidels is OK under Islamic religious texts which are holy and set forth absolutes. I can't think of a better way to cause conflict among cultures and nations, do you?

Even a cursory reading of history clearly would lead even the dimmest to conclude exactly as you have stated and I have quoted.

Against this backdrop, we have to actually contend with the absolutely silly and stupid notion that we are the worst terrorist state ever. And the question asked, why do they target us?

Well, duh, as my son says.

Well, even a smidgen of historical knowledge reveals the all too obvious answer--because that is they way it has always been, because it is a religious imperative.

But there is not a lot of expertise in history being shown around here. In fact, a lot of historical ignorance seems to be the norm.
