Arabs are not a big fraction of Muslims.

But they are by far the most problematical, though the Persians are trying hard to catch up.

True, but the sense of injury to Islam seems to be most pronounced in the Middle East.

A quick google search for estimates of the number of Arabs, and estimates of the number Muslims seems to be Arabs as 20% to 35% of all Muslims. Factoring in the fact that not all Arabs are Muslims would make the % of Muslims that are Arab smaller.

Actually the figure for Arabs I used was for the number of people in Arab countries. Of course there are Arabs in non Arab countries and non-Arab in Arab countries. My guess would be there are more non Arabs in Arab countries. If this is right it would reduce the percentage even more. So maybe something like 15 to 33% of Muslims would be Arab.

Edit - I forgot to factor in that not all Arab's are Muslim.
Anyone know the percetage of Arab's that are at least nominally Muslim?
