What is forcing some of this is the fact that government at all levels has intruded into SO MUCH of our lives. Maybe so. I see it differently, that fundamentalist Evangelical Christianity has become more militant, trying harder to position itself in the public square, in order to "save us" from atheism, Hollywood, and "false values", and those of us who are not fundamentalist Evangelical Christians are pushing back because we prefer to save ourselves, thank you very much. I guess it's one of those chicken vs. egg thingies.
