I'm with you, George. The problem isn't with evangelicals nor questions of separation of govt. and church. The problem is the former had been used as a bogeyman, the latter as an excuse, for an attack on the Christian culture of this country. It's been going on for at least 30 years, probably much longer, and has finally succeeded in that there is a building reaction to it, quite often referred to as the "growing Republican majority." I used to think the ACLU was doing good; not anymore. And I'm not alone.
