Yep McQueen was in the Magnificent Seven but I think The Wild Bunch with William Holden (another class actor), Ernest Borgnine , versatile Robert Ryan , and the often flakey Warren Oates (Bring me the Head of Alfredo Garcia ;o) was even better...

DiCaprio ? yeah he was OK in What's Eating Gilbert Grape :o) (Johnny Depp et al)

All this Western talk... man I miss good westerns.... ( of course being 48 I was raised on Bonanza, Ed Sullivan and and Combat!!)

Henry Fonda, Jason Robards and Charlie Bronson (Jack Elam with that wild eye) in the classic Sergio Leone western... Once Upon a Time in the West... and oh yeah and Claudia Cardinale unable to quite keep her blouse buttoned :O)...

Man Now I'm thinking of more classics...
Stagecoach... John Wayne (he really did make a lot of good westerns)
The man that Shot Liberty Valance a Classic... Stewart, Wayne, Marvin, O'Brien
The Good the Bad and the Ugly Eastwood, Lew Van Cleef, Eli Wallach..

Litte Big Man... Dustin Hoffman, Faye Dunaway, Dan George (remember him ?) Martin Balsam Richard Mulligan (the guy from Soap!, great parody of Custer..)

I'm getting into deep winter old movie mode...
