Have you ever met people who've had a terminal disease and knew for sure they will die within a few months? I have. Without exception they have been the nicest people I have spent time with. There was a certain serenity, and often compassion, about them. They cherish every moment of life from the scent of grass to an afternoon tea with friends. If the average human nature was as bad as you are suggesting, these people would be spending their remaining days in exacting revenge, murder, and stealing. After all, what could the law do to them in short little while they have left, even if they were to get caught?
