That wasn't hard to figure out just from regularly watching the "New Threads" listings over the past month. "You might be interested to know that the trend is slowly reversing." Although the fact that I bother with such a user-unfriendly feature of the site probably says something about the state of affairs in my moronic existence of agony and despair: ... only 38 days till I turn 40. It's over. Done. Finito. Walla, your their. Where's my McDonald's coffee discount?

The worm is turning. dave.... one of the better sell signals i've seen in a while ;) You might be interested to know that the trend is slowly reversing. The posting activity in investment forums in now increasing on an absolute basis and as a percentage of total posts. There is also a steady increase of total posters in the investment forums, while participants in the political forums is more or less flat.

I've noticed the change in posting behavior myself. Although I've not yet unmarked some of the political threads, I don't read or participate in them much anymore. After all, one can only read about "trailer trash", "dumb red staters" and we were robbed so many times without going into a mind numbed coma<g>

Well this is an interesting discussion. -g As someone on the other side of the political fence, I've noticed too that the level of namecalling and other personal nastiness on the political threads has decreased. I'm glad that the more virulent political posters-- most of whom are on the right, imo-- seem to have found a little graciousness since the election.
