You are very badly mistaken about me! The report appeared on Shaw Cable News only after the war-dodger appeared on Canadian TV and in the papers. He said he deserted because the Iraq War was illegal and unjust. To be sure, he has lots of Canadian sympathisers. He chose to come to Canada apparently because Canada is not a bad place to be in. By the way, lots of Americans cross the border regularly to shop and buy medicines in Canada to get more bang out of their greenback, and also to ski and enjoy lots of other things in Canada! By the way, have you ever seen how soldiers are indoctrinated and trained to kill? To toughen all men (and those who are squeamish about killing others), trainees are typically ordered during drills to charge and ram their bayonets into dummies while yelling as bloodthirstily as they could, "KILL! KILL! KILL!" and yelling other unprintable swear and curse words! I suppose you are inclined to believe the Abu Ghraib scandal never happened? I think folks like you are in a state of denial --------- that no American soldiers would ever desert. Remember the Vietnam War (1963 - 1975) during which many young men fled to Canada and to elsewhere in Europe? BTW, I helped some of them who came up here. "Retarded Giant on Our Doorstep"?
