No Since California and NY absorb an amazing number of immigrants who keep prices cheap for the rest of you. Do you eat California produce? Kept cheap by illegal (and legal)aliens- who put special strains on CA state budgets. And that's just one little piece of the puzzle. Too bad Calif and NY and the other states Bush is contemplating on taxing unevenly, can't just leave the US- taking the major GDP centers with them. Too bad. Yep. Nope, it's never simple, is it? I'm getting to the point where I kind of hope Bush does this- throws the huge economies of the blue states in to chaos, screws up that national economy even more by doing that, and makes the repulicans persona non grata for the foreseeable future :-) Yep, that could happen. we'll see how it plays out
