OK, Tejek, have it your ways.

Just very strange that the Columbians, the Spanish and the Irish don't walk the streets in masses cheering while firing fireworks shots in celebration of the "achievements" of their "heroic" (but IMO sick) guys! Nor do their clerics approve and entice same guys to do more of the same good stuff. At least not in public and on TV. Anybody doing that is in my opinion just as guilty by association.

What does it matter? Its the terrorism in and of itself that is evil. And there are as many Muslim clerics who condemn the violence as do endorse it. The cheering in the streets mainly occurs in Palestine where I suspect the majority of the population are firmly against Israel and its continued unwillingness to give them their freedom.

In any case, I will not condemn an entire population for the actions of a few. By doing that, nothing will be accomplished. Islam is not going away any time soon and we will need to find a way to co exist peacefully or die.

According to the latest polls more than 50% of the Saudi population would vote for Bin Laden as president today.

Why are you surprised? Look what they have to compare to? Porcine Saudi princes! Unfortunately, many Muslims seen 9/11 as retribution for the losses they have suffered to western interests over the past 200 years. After all, the world did not start turning on 9/12...............there is a whole history between the West and the ME preceding 9/11 that does not make the West look like the good guys.

Did somebody say guilty by association?

To their benefit, however, I should be fair enough to mention that most of those just refuse to believe Bin Laden had anything to do with 9/11. In spite of himself confessing to that on TV recently.

Is that any different then westerners not wanting to know how their gov'ts gave military aid and equipment to Saddam in the 1980s? We actively supported the guy we now call a bastardly tyrant. If we want to take a holier than thou position, then we need to be holier than thou 24/7 and not just when its convenient IMO.
