<<...That may be very true, unfortunately it is a global problem....and we must continue to show leadership in this area. Traveling in Asia, it is astounding to see the levels of pollution they live with...>>

s1: Our own environment is in jeopardy -- CONgress has chosen not to adequately fund the Superfund program to clean up hundreds of high priority toxic waste sites in The United States...You didn't hear much about this in the recent presidential election race did you...Yet, as a country we are comfortable spending $200 Billion on the Iraqi adventure which may ultimately make us less safe....On the other hand the current CONgress has failed to treat Global Warming and the protection of our groundwater and air quality as high priority issues -- this concerns me and IT WILL IMPACT FUTURE GENERATIONS MUCH MORE THAN ANOTHER TAX CUT...IMO, it's all about what kind of leadership Mr. Bush's EPA wants to provide...This is not a republican or democratic issue...We must lead by example at home and partner with countries around the world to improve our planet's condition...This is a global citizenship issue.
