What am I missing here?

Precisely what those who have not upgraded are thinking, when they hit any link taking them to a page with, "The Page or Feature you tried to access is not available at your membership level. To upgrade or purchase a subscription that allows you access to these features, go to the Subscription Page."

Message 20839317

Would it be possible to take them on a "tour" of what becomes available upon upgrade? You know, screenshots and such?

Dave:

Past: 1 click

recent posts ----> profile + reset counter

Present

recent posts ----> first unread or upgrade + reset counter? Just guessing as I haven't upgraded

OR

2 clicks

Peoplemarkname ----> profile

Reset ----> reset counter

In other words you took a one click function and made it two, both being in different and separate locations, without appropriate communication. My suggestion would be to make the peoplemarkname link, which used to take you to the profile without resetting the counter, the new function, which would also make the whole column of reset redundant. Otherwise you could add a message to the upgrade page with directions to the two click process to get the desired results. The problem with this is the same as leaving it the way you have it presently, and since this is SI, I will speculate that for months you will have people popping up saying, hey, I used to have this, now I don't, what happened, it's no fair......

So give us back our dual function, one click in the same location, educate your much smaller number of upgraded members to the new location they have to click and I think you'll save yourself considerable work and grief.

Yes?

Edit..Do you now see what you're missing?
