At least you didn't claim the "bad" clerics are in minority, your late insight slowly coming along I guess.
Unless you include the "silent majority" invented by your favorite president Nixon, however, I still have some problems believing this one.

News reports. The Shia Muslim clerics, in particular, have interceded on behalf of the kidnapped and have discouraged the insurgents from their violence. They repeatedly negotiated with the renegade Muslim cleric, Sadr, and got him to chill his bad behavior. Unfortunately, people seem to want to ignore these actions and only enunciate the bad behavior of the insurgents.
