Hello roserrsp. First I want to thank you for your earlier post because when I logged on today at about 5 it hit me hard, and I like those kind of posts. In fact I love those kind of posts. My mind can really concentrate when I read words as yours, so I did. Got lots to listen to tonight, and squeeze in "The West Wing"...my favorite Democrats. Remember that when America decided 'en toto that we had lost the war in Vietnam it was one man, Walter Kronkite that cemented the ending of our involvement in that country with his famous broadcast. there were about 3 channels then. Our new availability of hundreds of stations that seque from voter fraud to the high price of tomatoes to the Rummy embarrassment of the day in the mid-east so fast that we can't take the time to dwell on the important national priorities from the misc. whacks that Bush is delivering us on a daily basis. I can only keep my hope alive regarding the exposing of voter theft if John and others do what they should do to expose it. I can only watch and wait for more to come out after John Conyer's hearing this morning. Sioux

Maybe. But what did the "US" do in the Civil War? Sherman's March. They burned, raped and stole. They occupied for decades with carpet baggers. And the one's they were supposed to have freed? They left them to Jim Crow laws and poll taxes. It was a joke. A very sad joke. And the scars of occupation still live here. If anyone can understand why the Iraqis are fighting the occupation, it should be a Southerner who hated the occupation by the North. Everything was sold off to "pals" just like in Iraq. the spoils of war. So will there be this uprising? Will this country unite? I dunno. Saying sorry for Sherman's March instead of viewing it as a great event might help. Saying sorry for the carpetbaggers might help. Admitting the blacks that were "freed" were left to Jim Crow laws might help. We might be a country again, if we ever were.
