Volunteering to enter the military is volunteering to support an organization committed to violent action. The military force is a force of violence to promote or maintain political objectives ... nothing else. Kids who enter expecting to benefit from the education, training, travel, etc perks without living up to this commitment are making a huge mistake in my opinion.

The recruiting offices should be monitored and forced to make it 100% clear what the commitment involves. Some of them act like street hustlers attempting to get your signature with great promises of benefits and glory. I support the same notion for abortion centers btw.

Having said all that, I would also support some kind of bill that allows an 'out' when an 18 year old kid's eyes are opened, after signing his name. I would support any bill that promotes freedom of conscience, regardless of contractual issues.
