>>readers digest description of CLX<<

CLX/CLXPP/AYDIS of Don's... measures the internal movements of the Dow 30 and can signal days in advance what is moving, by how much and in what direction. It's the "boiler room"... to which he then applies the Elliot Waves.

I don't do Elliot Waves... but I use the Andrew's Pitchfork.

Early on I noticed that as price approached the median lines some measure of where it was going next was needed.... and the CLX studies have helped understand the next move. Also, RSI and breaking down ARMS has helped.

Now.... all I need is some serious seed capital like DWa and I can become a hero too....<smile>

>>and what gives you the strength of such conviction? I'd appreciate it if you could share some basics of what is giving you the insight.<<

Okay... lets see if this makes any sense....?
Intuition and "chunking the brain" are the key's.

Years ago Ground Zero (on these threads) offered me the opportunity to learn the Andrews Pitchfork and almost immediately a "light went on" and my intuitive capabilities seized upon this remarkable geometric tool.

I like the work of Bill Williams... "Trading Chaos"...

In his work he writes about... [ahhhh for a better word], "The Zen State of Mind" necessary for clear and clean trading. His insights into the behavior of the human mind, the traders and that of the market is superb. So one can have all the trading tools and all the masterful market insights and still be a second rate trader, if not a loser without a Zen focus.

Bill Williams's work studies the evolving behavior of the market, and his application of using Fractal Patterns is a fascinating insight.

Study of Time in chart bars and astrological movements are important indicators of the human psyche... I prefer the Vedic and Sidereal studies.

So what else adds to my reads.....?
