If you google "Parade of Lights" you will see that many, many cities have their own parades of lights. San Diego, Halifax, Ottawa, Fort Worth, Tulsa, Vincennes, etc. etc. etc.

Locally Alexandria does, and so does Georgetown -- the local Parade of Lights involves brightly lit boats on the Potomac.

I don't see why Christians can't organize their own party instead of trying to hijack a secular party.
