Maybe if they woke up and smelled the coffee, they'd realize they're living in LaLa Land. They hug a tree, and kick a human being who disagrees with them. In other words, they get along fine with inanimate objects who can't talk back.

Re West Wing, it's actually getting quite interesting. Their setting up the characters for the shows upcoming election and the only candidate so far that isn't either a philanderer (the show's former Veep who resigned in disgrace) or an obvious idiot (the show's current Veep) is the Republican - played by ... get this ... Alan Alda. They also appear to be setting it up for "Josh", who is supposed to be leaving (the administration, not necessarily the show), to go work for Alda's character. Hey, what can I say? I like the show. They do usually make out any republican characters negatively (not always), but the jokes and political/historical trivia they toss in are quite entertaining. They even mentioned a distant relative of mine on it once.
