At Wendy's they are putting tomato on your burger only if you ask for it. Prices for tomatoes have gone through the roof.

I say tomato, you say tom-a-to, the grower says give me $90 for the bushel.

There is a lot of indirect energy content in food. Those chickens need to live in a heated environment for optimum production.

30 months ago in my area, 1 lb of bacon, average sale price: 99 cents. Now 2.49 to 2.99... Butter was 99 cents a pound to 1.49, now 1.99 to 2.99 on sale... 80% lean ground meat was .99 to 1.29 on sale, now 1.99 to 2.99. And prices of cold cuts on sale have approximately doubled, etc, etc.
