Yes, but if you look at numbers that include options and futures then the commercials are still short a little

greg, after this week no one can possibly have any freaking clue as to where the cots are right now.
Tomorrows report willl be totally useless with all the violent commodity swings as of late.

Remember, tomorrows COTs reflect as of Tuesday.
In this context. USELESS IMO.

We need the see the market settle down before attempting to make any rational judgements. I am pretty sure Russ would agree.

For some reason charts at softwarenorth.com are not updated, although their download file CurFutCA.zip is up to date. I used that file to view their charts idorfman.com.

Commercial CL long position has increased, although there are almost as many open options as futures. Their charts do not account for options.
