That's a bit of a problem. It can be caused by filing a public message that was addressed to someone else, and then returning it to your Inbox. When you read it, it's not removed from your Inbox because it wasn't addressed to you. You can click on Remove to get rid of it. However, if I'm not mistaken, doing so will not decrement your Inbox counter, so it will report 1 item than actually exists. I'm sure many users have Inbox counters that overstate the Inbox contents. Bob - I have a note buried somewhere about how the Inbox counters are getting screwed up - it's in an email sent to you way back when we were having unrelated problems with folder_links. Let me know if you need it again. It would probably be best to not allow public messages to be returned to the Inbox if the user is not the toid?
