Here's a posting I made on another thread. I trust that reposting here doesn't make it "spam". It ends with a link to a specific page of their website. If my posting is of interest, I recommend the detail of the entire website

Why do I like Northern Star Mining (NSM.v) ?

1. Northern Star is exploring a property in the Cadillac Break belt of Northern Quebec; elephant country .

2. Their main property is the entire area of the old Malartic Goldfields mine which produced 2M ounces between 1939 - 1965 from approximately 23 separate zones. The ongoing drilling program has indicated 10 or 11 unmined zones all within 1000 ft of the surface. The zones are not yet defined but appear to be similar to historically mined zones.

3. This close-to-surface ore was under the mining town of Halet and was out-of-bounds for mining historically. It is situated between TWO production shafts that are probably still useable. NSM has announced the purchase of headframe and hoisting equipment from the Louvicourt Mine for C$750,000, showing serious intent of imminent underground development drilling. I have read, "It would cost C$75M today to sink and equip a shaft today". NSM is getting it for less than C$1M.

4. Quebec is one of the most miner-friendly countries in the world, with all the mining skills and infrastrucure readily available. Canadian mining enjoys a unique measure; the flow-through share regime and Quebec has the best flow trough benefits. (a $1000 flow through investment has an after tax net cost in Quebec of $284).

5. "Exploration results compare favourably with other regional exploration programs". Here is a link to the drilling results achieved to date:
