Matt Simmons was on BubbleVision this morning, and discussed the issue of Saudi oil production approaching or reaching peak production. As he put it, although they are FAR from "running out of oil", their ability to increase production to continue to meet world petroleum demands is rapidly dwindling. Meaning of course a huge bull market for crude in the coming years......<NG>

Although the current administration has no particularly helpful long term energy policy, the one thing they did right was to complete filling the SPR. That's a drop in the bucket in the big picture, however. Until the demand side is dealt with crisis is not only possible but inevitable.

This dip may be the best chance to go long crude and energy stocks we'll see for a loooonnnnggg time (maybe forever).

Poster - with clear experience in the oil industry - causing some stir on CSPLF Yahoo Board with his conviction that oil is abiotic.Others think he is out to lunch but you might be interested to read a paper he has posted.

Major LONG term implications if he is right. In the meantime he thinks that the Matt Simmons' of this world will lead unnecessarily to WW111.
