So, using the logic in your post, wouldn't this mean, of the division leaders, the Eagles have had the toughest schedule?

Its possible that they have had the toughest schedule but

1 - The most games against teams with a winning record isn't the same as the toughest schedule.

If team A plays two games against teams that are one game over 500 and one game against a winless team, while Team B plays two games against teams that have won most of their games and one game against a team that is .500 than Team B had the tougher record.

2 - Also there just aren't as many good teams in the NFC this year. The Eagles would still have a good record in the AFC IMO, and I think they would make the playoffs but they would not stand out the way they do in the NFC.
