hello maurice, since last contact, i managed to setup my new, big-box, xmas, geewhizbang, integrated, connected, networked, home-office-mobile, multimedia, whoa-isn't-it-amazing, system, that is triband gsm, gprs, wi-fi, skype, vonage, messenger, sony solid state video/still recorder, dual-pc, one laptop, one O2Xda IIs, 42 inch / 19 inch / 17 inch, 11 speakers, two headset, one jabra bluetooth fashion statement, all data files sync-ed by groove.com, dual 160 Gbyte shadow drive backup, scanner, fast laserjet printer, upgraded broadband to highest available speed, all MS latest, and Norton up-to-the-minute software, ... where was i? oh, yes, and everything is working all-together now, and i am wi-fi from my balcony ...
i can also control my desktop via my palmtop from anywhere in the world where i can reach a cellular, gprs, wi-fi, or fixed line signal ... just amazing stuff
it took quite a portion of my computer structures intuition and a lot of tenacity to get across the finishing line ... especially the software upgrading old data files part (ms money on desktop, linking to special excel program, syncing to ms money on palmtop) and linking accounts to financial institutions, etc
now i am ready to resume last-man-standing-financial-deathmatch ...
btw, i am up 20.38% ytd, and should be ok for 2004, so now i can start fretting about 2005
