phew! thank goodness. we'd practiced that for weeks - i'm so glad we pulled it off. it was a little dicey there for a while cause polvie wouldn't show up for rehearsal. something about being too busy, you know the drill. anything else of note happen? i really shouldn't drink on an empty stomach. -rose

As I went out to pick up breakfast this morning I heard on the radio that David Wells has signed with the Redsox. Ortiz claims Pedro ain't be going anywhere but Boston. Furthermore, it sounds like the Yanks won't be getting Randy Johnson despite him wanting to come to NY. Arizona wants to much I suppose. I suppose the Yanks will try hard now to get Carl Pavano. They also seem to want to put Carlos Beltran in CF. The Yankees seriously need to fix their pitching problem. Otherwise it will be another quick post season for them. -Yanker
