Hi Mr VW. But when they buy a new car, they'll look around at what's available. Already, plenty of people are buying a Toyota Prius toyota.com or equivalent.

When they see a cheap car that doesn't use petrol and has hardly any moving parts and they can cerf cyberspace while the car drives itself, they'll ignore the olde-style vehicles. There aren't many VWCombis these days - time moves on, all too fast. People want the latest and greatest, complete with WiFi/CDMA2000/OFDM links.

Lucent has a LOT of debt - as interest rates rise, profits will go down. Forward P:E is 19.

OPEC can fiddle around and sell less oil if they want to. That'll just accelerate the process of adoption of competing products.
