Amy, re: The boomers may be able to retire on less than they expect to need if they are willing to sell their homes and move to a less expensive part of the country. The variation in the cost of living in different parts of the country is staggering. We'll see what happens. the increasing debt creates a cascade of problems. Rising interest rates will cool (at best) the real estate market. But if you are arguing that your generations is more thrifty than mine, I'm not sure you have a case. John
