There needs to be a test of reasonableness. We can't set the standard by either the most sensitive or the most oafish among us.

There is a test for reasonableness. It is the open marketplace (your mantra) for receiving and adopting sensitive suggestions . It was intended to be politically correct - not political commandmants.

When you go overboard with something, you are insensitive to some innocent on the other side of the issue. Political correctness is self correcting by definition. But there is no one to correct the bigoted. They are not going to listen anyhow.

Face it kholt.......you live in a very small world.

People don't use those words that CB listed any more, at least not without getting a raised eyebrow in response.

I've heard some, if not all of the words CB listed on and off for years on the waterfront or on construction sites. They are used in private or "underground" all the time.

I don't approve, but it happens frequently.
