A quick fling in the casino to try to cover the costs of my trip or add to my credit card debt <vbg>, and then back to T.O.-the-Good by Saturday morning. This has been a *real* eye-opener. Tremendous changes happening in Nicaragua and I imagine throughout Central America... Currently logged on and listening to an Etta James CD -- to be followed by a great Cuban tape... "La Salsa Que Mas Suena" -- while listening to the bugs chirping and the Pacific Ocean waves crashing on the shore. Unabashed pleasure and recognition de mi suerte. Met a spider monkey today in his/her habitat. Stared at me for a full 2 minutes -- I mean *really* stared at me, as if to say "we may be related"! What a privilege. <Does the project as currently planned still involve hoovering up the whole riverbed, deepening the channel, and selling construction aggregate, i wonder ....> As far as CSL is concerned, I'm sure they would love that to still be the eventual goal. But IMHO this is just a first step that could pay for what previously had been viewed as a million dollar FS.... but without the need to dilute further through financing. <if el gobierno local has any nearby highway construction planned, it would mesh nicely with a cleanup/placer operation, just needs a screen plant, crusher, few trucks, 980 loader .... it could be done relatively low-budget, with positive cash flow from early on> I'm sure this possibility has not been lost on CSL. But one step at a time... Hasta pronto, Howy
