No problemo hermano.

Just checking...

I watched that Russell Crow movie where he is the
capitan or admiral of that big ship.

The sailing footage and historic seamanship info
was really cool.

If they broke a mast or needed lumber, they had to
search for a long tall tree in the rainforest of some
island or whatever. No Home Depots...

They were pretty much self sufficient.

Sailing on the unexplored areas of the ocean must
have been amazing.

Those big old wooden ships were incredible feats of
engineering.

I remember sailing on an old pirate ship in Antigua when
wifie and I were on our honeymoon. (Daytrip complete with
rum punch and limbo stick) I was amazed at how much the
mast would bend as the breeze picked up.

Several years back when the kids were real little we
went to Kingston, NY and boarded the tall ship called
the HMS Rose. That was a beauty.
(I recall posting a picture of it way back when,
because of it's name Rose.) We had discovered the
ship while on a nice autumn car ride.

Anyhow what I just found out is that it was used in
that Russle Crow movie. (I just found this out now
as I googled for a photo.)

Here's a picture of it.

Here's what it sounded like:

Anyway, it is strange how I first discovered the boat
by chance. And now while writing this little message
about it I rediscovered it once more.

P.S. You can find anything on google.
