The US failure in Iraq has not been primarily one of planning -- it is a failure of policy. Then planning failures -- while glaring -- take a back seat to the stupidity of believing that the best interest of the USA would be served by a policy that vainly pursues unipolar dominance of the world. This is a hopeless and pointless approach that does NOT serve the best interests of the United States.
