They are much better at the intellectual slight of hand than the democrats. Rove is the master of the craft...

Right now they are working it with privatization of SS; they are "saving" it with a program that may kill it, and using funny numbers.

Closer to 75%. Trucks, however, are only armored at a rate of 10% or so. It is the old Republican strategy. When they get cornered, they shift the discussion to a related area and make their opponents look foolish. The original discussion the soldiers brought up was about trucks, not Humvees. Later, the discussion was shifted to Humvees which are armored at a much higher rate. So when people wander down this dead end, it will be trumpeted that Humvees are almost all armored, so what is the uproar all about?
