jlallen,

Are you saying that if YOU were an Iraqi and saw other Iraqi's being treated like they were at Abu Ghraib that YOU wouldn't get a little pissed off by it, regardless of how you felt about Saddam's regime?

Are you saying that if YOU were an Iraqi and saw film of U.S. troops shooting wounded Iraqis YOU wouldn't get a little pissed off?

If that's what you're saying, then YOU must have been one outrageously easy mark on the playground when you were a kid.

You say baloney to my assertion that America is going down a slippery slope with the Patriot Act and the way it treats detainees at Gitmo.

Consider however that it is not too far a jump for some uber patriot to now accuse me of giving aid and comfort to the enemy just because I question the merit of the Patriot Act. After all the purpose of the Patriot Act is to fight terrorism - one could argue anyone who questions it must be "for" the terrorists.

That is a slippery slope. The Constitution, Individuals rights, the First Amendment - these are the things that make America great - not the restricting Patriot Act.
