This has been around for a long time... totally abused and if the story is compelling enough [the stock a big enough scam] traders can make up some real whoppers as to how and why they remain naked short promising to deliver 'soon'. It's very easy to find out if a stock is a potential candidate for abuse... it will be on everyones "hard to borrow" list.

Has little to do with GLD though, right?
