That's one thing that I don't like about strict technicians... I can't see how anyone [and I think most reasonable economists agree] thinks central banks aren't going to be VERY gold friendly in the coming few years... I don't think technicians put these types of 'backdrops' into analysis at all in many cases. That said, after 25 years on wall street my opinion of technicians is very low other than for a 'trade', in which case many I've observed were VERY GOOD...but even the best seem to get shaken out of every major trend. JMObservation, so MO is probably tainted. DAK
