re: He didn't have the Iraq war, but I disagree with you that pulling out now would be a good idea, and even if we did pull out deficits would continue. Clinton also benefited from being able to reduce military spending and greatly reduce the size of the military in the aftermath of the cold war.

We should get out of the business of foreign wars. Any libertarian worth his salt knows that.

And speaking of salt, Bush never saw pork he didn't like. He's supported and passed the biggest new entitlement since Johnson (drug benefit). He's created a whole new level of bureaucracy with Homeland Security, and is about to do the same with intelligence. The guy loves bigger and bigger government, it's growing and growing under Bush. The unemployment rate keeps dropping in DC.
