Saying that the liberal left at SI is writing posts that "cheer for the enemy and gloat over new additions to the death rolls of our troops" and refusing to take it back when challenged or prove it is just totally repugnant, and violates the Feelies terms of use in that it is totally uncivil conduct. I cannot imagine saying something like that about my worst enemy, it is so rude (as well as being utterly untrue). It essentially implies that the whole left wing is just a group of bloodthirsty sadistic traitors. I don't care whether you said it about Feelies lefties or the left at SI in general--you said it here and it is offensive to posters here, and that is enough. One thing before I ban you--all of the news stations, left, right, network, cable, whatever--have some kind of a running total of casualties in Iraq that they report. When a "liberal" poster says something about how many soldiers have died in a post, they are not gloating. They are horrified, like oh my goodness, even more people have died, this is so horrible. As I have said before here, watching the death toll on the news makes me sick, and I'm sure that is a very common reaction. The liberal left values human life so much that they don't want any lives wasted unless we really must defend our country against a foe that is going to destroy us--a just war. How you could have so much animosity towards a group of people just because they represent a different political view than yours that you believe they are gleeful when people die is beyond me. I'm sorry to have to ban you, because I think you are very intelligent and write well, and some of your posts have been very interesting, and I hate banning people. But by refusing to take back your charge or prove it you really leave me no choice.
