I'd forgotten to turn on change tracking for the current year's catalog. When I did, it went out of its mind. Was adding a unique key about every 5 minutes, but was growing the catalog at the rate of about 10 meg per minute. I temporarily turned off MSSearch so I could delete the catalog, then turned it back on and the catalog is rebuilding now. Hmmmm.... This rebuild is going much faster than the previous ones. Get the feeling MSSearch may've needed a kick in the butt.
