I see you have restored the peoplemarks thing to me,...that's what I was after,...perhaps I didn't make myself clear so I apologize.

Huh? That's been there all along. Hasn't changed or broken that I'm aware of.

I tried to find the search buttons a while back but couldn't,...

You have to jump through a few hoops to find them:

1. Go find your glasses. If, like me, you can't find them without having your glasses on, get help.

2. Look at this page, right about in the middle.

3. Slowly direct your eyes upward. Until you see the big link that says "Advanced Search".

4. Keep looking higher up. Advanced Search isn't available at your level (but it and a couple of other features can be added for $19.95 per year). Keep looking up until you've reached the top of the screen.

5. See where it says "Search:" then a blank box, then a dropdown that says "Quotes" in it, then a button that says "Submit"?

Voila! <g>

Type in some search text in the first box, select something other than Quotes from the dropdown, hit Submit, then come back here and tell me how cool I am. hehe

I had files of private and public posts,...these are gone now.

Folders were migrated from the old version of the site. Their location may be different, making it difficult for you to find them.

Hit the Inbox menu button and look way over to the right. There's a link there that says "Manage/Open Folders". Hit that, and you should find all of your folders with their contents intact. Let me or Dave know if that's not the case. A few accounts (mine was one of them) had minor odd things happen with folder names, but I think otherwise the migration worked well.

Most people hate change unless it is done slowly so they don't really notice it.

Agreed. I'm the same way.

However, this wasn't a change that could be done slowly and subtly. This is a completely new version of the site, written from scratch and taking 16 months to pull off.

In my point of view, we towed the Chevy out of your driveway and replaced it with a Cadillac. Others may have differing views, but it's part of what makes the world go 'round, eh?
