I realize some folks like to throw around the rhetorical fallacies here- either out of ignorance, or because they think no one will notice, or a combination of those things,

With respect to your propaganda about the Hitler/Bush propaganda similarity, a wonderful self-description.

Rhetorical fallacies? That's awfully rich. Why don't you tell me about how best to equate Hitler and Bush without actually doing so if not through the rhetorical fallacies you decry?

It is a fact that Hitler appealed primarily to feelings of anger and bitterness over the war and the Versailles treaty. Did Germans feel fear over their economy? Or was it just another thing to be bitter and resentful about, especially as the Versailles treaty contributed to the economic problems? I think the latter is a better description of the situation.

There are people in America today who are stoked up with anger and bitterness. Michael Moore and Howard Dean are the demagoguers who stir up these folks.

You have made a false dichotomy out of what I said- btw- and don't think I didn't notice. Refusing to allow 9/11 to "change everything" is not ignoring it. I realize some folks like to throw around the rhetorical fallacies here- either out of ignorance, or because they think no one will notice, or a combination of those things, I've no idea- but I DO notice the repetitive logical failures in your posts. So take your false dichotomy, and play your little games, but don't think I can take you seriously when you say something so silly and juvenile.

Oh please, stow the pseudo-intellectual fantasies. What is a bunch of hogwash and a real rhetorical fallacy is your equating Bush's message with Hitler's propaganda: Bush's propaganda is the same sort of stuff as Hitler's. Where is the logic supporting that nonsense? What gall you have to accuse others of "logical errors". I have yet to see a well-reasoned argument from you.

Pearl Harbor and 911 were galvanizing, watershed events for many Americans for very understandable reasons and you have no reason to equate those who consider them as such as being proto-fascist: where you let an event like 9/11 "change everything" for you- you allow fascism to enter.
