FA requires much more time than a quick look at charts and news. That is what I primarily do-just a quick look- after hopefully having done some preliminary perusing of financials and having some familiarity with the company before the unusual activity is spotted.

My philosophy.
More in depth FA should be done ASAP after taking any position, just in case your TA is wrong on the security in which you should already have some basic background info on. Then you become more in touch with risk.

I currently trade almost nothing. Have a retail store which keeps me more than occupied. When I return to trading FT, I'll focus more on trading, both FA and TA.
