Hi Steve. If you drew a plot of "value" vs. time starting from egg/sperm through conception, birth, .... mature death with three different curves (religious worth, biological worth, self worth) what do you think the curves would look like? Does the religious curve you draw depend on which flavor of religion you hold? Especially +/- the time around conception. Should legal issues be decided by only one of the curves (religious) or should the others have some weight as well? Should such curves affect spending priorities such as childhood vaccinations vs elderly care? How might this alter codes like the Geneva Convention? BTW, I'm generally liberal, much in favor of population control, but not in favor of abortion, although I don't vote to block or overturn the practice.
