RE: "Photos shows a plume of dust rising upwards near Buildings 5 and 6 as each tower collapsed (Figure 1-1)."

Now I'm not sure if we're talking about the same thing. The earlier article claims an explosion took place at the same time the second plane hit. The capture from the clip that supposedly proves the assertion is obviously from the South Tower collapsing nearly an hour later, and not from the time the second plane hit at 9:04. From the article:

"CNN’s Public Affairs Department confirmed that the explosion shown in the footage occurred immediately after the second plane had crashed into the South Tower. When asked if the footage was taken at 9:04 a.m., the CNN archivist said “that’s correct.”"

I see only two conclusions to draw from the article. Either there is another clip somewhere showing an explosion at 9:04, or the article is based on false information.

If we're on a new subject based on the assumption that whatever happened to building 6 happened at the same time the South Tower collapsed, then we need to start over. I certainly don't see building 6 in the photo. Why would it be reasonable to assume the dust cloud, which looks identical to those formed by the collapse of the South Tower, and which is being shown at the exact time of the collapse of the South Tower, was caused by something other than the collapse of the South Tower?
