.Rumsfeld's callous answer and because funds were allocated for upgrading the humvees and trucks, and there has not been the kind of progress expected. There has been quite a lot of progress. There has not been perfection. And of course when ever imperfect decisions or implimentation of decisions results in deaths that could have been avoided its a bad thing. But such imperfections have happened in every war and probably will happen in every future war. The answer is to do what you can to fix the problem, not to claim that everything should already be perfect. You think those soldiers are pressing the issue because they want to find fault with the administration? For the most part no, but the media and esp. people on places like SI are making a big deal about the issue at least partially because they want to find fault with the administration. If 100% of our vehicles were armored they would find something else that is less than perfect to complain about. Tim
