I don't equate them. And I said I don't. And I continue not to. I know you'd LIKE me to equate them- because that so simplifies the matter for you- in to one of those "good versus evil" things, but I can't oblige you. I don't see it so simplistically.

Like all leaders, and people, Bush and Hitler share some similarities and many differences. Honestly, I don't know enough about the two men to do justice to a comparison.

However, the propaganda from this administration I can compare with German propaganda. It's probably also comprable to Japanese war time propaganda- but I don't know much about pre-wwII Japanese propaganda, and I do know quite a bit about what happened in Germany. The fact that the propaganda is similar does not make Bush Hitler, nor does it make the US people Nazi Germans- but it should ring some alarm bells for you, that the propaganda of both time periods is emotionally powerful, and designed to lead the large mass of the public emotionally, rather than rationally, toward an end that probably isn't in the greater common good (and but for the emotional component, the masses would probably see it was not in their greater common good).

So, you are wrong about my purpose. Enjoy YOUR fantasies, and may they bring you peace and joy (and if they don't, change them, we don't have much time on this planet- it's better to spend the time contented, rather than angry- imo, of course)
