According to you the invasion of privacy is a small thing. An accounting error is a huge thing. So if I illegally wiretap your house, it is ok, but if you misplace a decimal point on your taxes you should go to jail?

It is the Democrat double standard. If a Democrat does it, it is minor, if a Republican does it, it is major.

Frankly, I did not recall what Newt had done wrong. As is typical of Republicans, he resigned when he did something wrong. I do recall that he claimed it was an error of interpretation. He has claimed that he did not know that what he did was in violation of the laws. No, I am not fool enough to think that ignorance is bliss (unless a Democrat makes the mistake).

As typical of criminals and law breakers the Democrat stays in office to advertise to those ignorant hicks in flyover country what Democrats stand for. Do you really wonder why Republicans one despite the overwhelmingly Democrat biased media?

Just a reminder, the person who has been ruled to have violated the law is still in Congress.
