I am from that region. I know why people turn religious fanatics or why some of them turn to Communism.

What I don't understand is why people here in the US would allow themselves to be blinded by religion. All along I had understood the meaning of the phrase coined by Karl Marx that "..religion is the opium of the people" to be different from that what I see in evangelical America.

Regarding the Islamic fanatics, they do not have anything for live for in poverty. So they think that "dying in the name of God would help them at least achieve salvation"

As I said that I do not believe in that. But being from that region I can form an informed opinion of why they act is a diabolical way through such terrorist acts. And I have my own thinking on how we should address their menace whcih is surely not the way Bush is doing with total disregard to life of our troops.

So you believe the beheaders own the future? They are undefeatable. Believing so is a self-fulfilling prophecy.

What is your opinion on India and Kashmir?
